Journal used to record the voyage of the ship Nathaniel P. Tallmadge of Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., Jeremiah Mulford, Captain, on a voyage to the northwest Atlantic coast, 1848-1851. The journal also lists accounts of the Nathaniel P. Tallmadge in June 1845, expenses of farming and keeping a boarding house in 1864, and cattle to be shipped to Montauk in 1865.
