Nathan Hale (b. June 6, 1755, Coventry, CT-d. September 22, 1776, New York City, NY) was born and raised in Coventry, Connecticut, and served in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. In 1776 he landed at the town of Huntington in Long Island, New York on an intelligence-gathering mission that ultimately resulted in his capture and execution by the British Army....
