Included are a transcript of the deed, 1653, from the Sagamore Mohenes (or Mohannis) to Peter Wright and others for land on Cove Neck which would become the site of Sagamore Hill; survey by George Townsend of the land of Samuel Youngs on Cove Neck, 1716; certificate of appointment of James N. Roosevelt as lieutenant in the New York City militia, 1787; photocopies of estimates and agreements with John A. Wood and Son of Long Island for building Sagamore Hill, 1884; a floorplan sketch of Sagamore Hill by Theodore Roosevelt, ca. 1885; notes on the Roosevelt family from the 18th century New York Dutch church records; and fragments of manuscripts of books by TR, on White House stationery, typed with handwritten additions.
