Letters, financial records, legal documents, poetry and school papers, scrapbooks, photographs, printed material, and memorabilia of William Courtland Case of Peconic, Long Island, and his family. Letters (1815-1897) are mostly to William C. Case, his parents, William Horace Case, and Frances Dayton Case, his sister Lizzie Dayton Case, or a cousin, Rosie Terry, discussing social life and family matters. Other letters concern business and financial affairs including farm crops, and hiring orphan children for farm work. Also, miscellaneous letters and papers of Israel Case, insurance papers and wills of various family members, and deeds for land in the towns of Southold and Shelter Island.
