Andrews' biography entitled "Switchback 1899-1979" includes some excerpts from family letters and diaries and relates her life in Bronxville, summering in the Adirondacks, attending Vassar College, her marriages to Penrose Stout and Sperry Andrews, her children, the family lumber business, difficulties during the Depression, social life, her intellectual interests, World War II, and other experiences. It includes a chapter on Sarah Lawrence College.
