Collection of illuminated manuscripts, music manuscripts, and religious texts primarily in Latin, including the Monastic Chronicle of the Council of Basle, 1449; a 15th century Totum Breviary with margin notes in German; Horae Beatae Mariae Virginis, Cum Calendario, ca. 1445; a large bound Antiphonary, 1595; music manuscript for the Office of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin, 1785; and several fragments of manuscript and music, 1353-1450. Also included are a Coptic scroll in the Ge'ez language, Ethiopia, 17th century; and a Buddhist prayerbook, ca. 12th century, in the Batta language of the Battak (Batak) people of Sumatra.
