Nichols from 1904 to 1958, 1957, 1958; drawing pad with daily log of shore bird observations complemented by pen and ink drawings of observed species, ca. 1915; copy of "addresses delivered on the occasion of a visit to the General William Floyd house at Mastic, Long Island by members and friends of The Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Treadwell Nichols - August 5, 1949; four photographs of John T. and Cornelia Floyd Nichols, 1888-ca. 1920; black and white photograph of bald eagle taken by Dr. Francis Harper, at Mastic, L.I. (the artist who designed the flying eagle for the 25 cent piece had access to this photograph), 1909; and scrapbook containing articles primarily about shore birds by John T. Nichols, 1918-1919.

Francis Harper, native of Massachusetts, was a zoologist and author affiliated with many universities. He was the author of Mammals of the Okefinokee Swamp Region of Georgia (1927).
