Documents relating to the Philipse Manor and the Manor Hall, including resolutions, petitions, appointments, reports, agreements, and construction specifications, 1868-1911, from the time the Manor Hall was used as Yonkers' City Hall; an indenture of the Philipse family, 1721, and a rent receipt signed by Frederick Philipse, 1773; indenture of John Smith for 239 acres of Manor property, 1785; a proclamation signed by John Hancock, 1793; and clippings, certificates, pamphlets, and other items pertaining to the history of the Manor Hall, 1882-1982. Also, a letter from Abraham Lincoln to the citizens of Yonkers used to raise funds during the Civil War.
