Papers, 1899-1953.

Papers include correspondence, school records, business records, fiancial papers, and diaries. Correspondence consists largely of letters received from his parents, his sister Annette, his uncle Hasbrouck Innis, other relatives, and friends, 1900-1953, and concerns family affairs, social life in New York City and New Haven, trips abroad, and domestic concerns at Locust Grove; Annette sometimes wrote in French. There are some letters from Innis to Kenneth E. Hasbrouck, 1951-1953, concerning their mutual family history, historic properties and artifacts of the Young family, and affairs of the Huguenot Historical Society and the New Paltz Memorial House. Diaries, 1899-1953, concern his childhood at Locust Grove, college life in Cambridge and Boston, financial and business affairs, trips abroad, museums and auctions attended, and other events of interest to him. Also included in the diaries are clippings, postcards, and photographs.
