Prints, photoprints, glass plates, and slides of Dutchess County places, people, and events. Subjects include Franklin D. Roosevelt, portraits of early county residents, churches, houses, families, individuals, farms, natural views, schools, 1959 visit of Juliana, Queen of the Netherlands, to Hyde Park, mill sites, public buildings, Civil War soldiers, and Poughkeepsie. Collection also includes ninety photographs by Harry B. Coutant of houses in Rhinebeck, 1918-1919; slides from a 1984 IBM exhibit on the history of the property at Main and Market Streets in Poughkeepsie, now part of the IBM complex; and approximately 350 photographs of Poughkeepsie from the Van Kleeck Collection, ca. 1880-1920.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York. He was the son of James (lawyer, financier) and Sara (Delano) Roosevelt.
