Material pertaining to burial of members of St. Mark's Church, most buried in its own churchyard. Material includes correspondence regarding family vaults and other matters, and burial information about specific individuals. Cremation and transition certificates, vault deeds, and some biographical information about people interred. Also, vault lists of St. Mark's Church and blueprint map of the vaults. Also, correspondence and vault lists about individuals and families including Commander Matthew Calbraith Perry (especially about his memorial service), Governor Daniel Tompkins, and the Schermerhorns. Some of the prominent families who are buried at St. Mark's Church are Fish, Lydig, Schermerhorn, Stuyvesant, and Van Beuren. Daniel D. Tompkins (June 21, 1774 – June 11, 1825) was an American politician. He was the fourth governor of New York from 1807 to 1817, and the sixth vice president of the United States from 1817 to 1825.
