Original correspondence and coded messages between members of Wolnosc, Rownosc, Niepodleglosc (W.R.N.) in underground Poland including Zygmunt Zaremba, Kazimierz Puzak, and Tomasz Arciszewski and the plenipotentiary of W.R.N. in the Polish Socialist Party (P.P.S) Foreign Committee in London, Adam Ciołkosz, 1940-1944. Original publications of W.R.N., and weekly news reports published by Zaremba, 1940-1944. Documents, brochures, pamphlets, newspapers, clippings, and photographs documenting the Polish underground movement, the activities of P.P.S.-W.R.N., and the Warsaw Uprising, August-October, 1944. Manuscripts of Zaremba's published works include DEMOKRACJA SPOŁECZNA (SOCIAL DEMOCRACY - Warsaw, 1944); POWSTANIE SIERPNIOWE (AUGUST UPRISING - written and published in Warsaw, 1944, and later in London, 1946); WOJNA I SPRAWA (WAR AND CONSPIRACY - London, 1957); and "Młodosc i Sprawa (Youth and Cause), also known as "Pokolenie Przełomu" (Watershed Generation), published with sections deleted in Warsaw in 1983 under the title WSPOMNIENIA (MEMOIRS). Unpublished manuscripts and articles include STANISŁAW MIKOŁAJCZYK, LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION IN POLAND. Radio scripts and commentaries on the Polish Socialist movement for Radio Free Europe and Voice of America, 1949-1956, and correspondence with American representatives of Radio Free Europe and Voice of America.
