Correspondence, minutes, permits, invitations, and other items primarily relating to the American Revolution. Correspondence subjects include treatment of American officers by the British, cooperation from Bermuda, military orders and maneuvers, possible abduction and assassination plots, and funding the army. Also, muster roll of the Commander-in-Chief's Life Guard for March 1782 and an orderly book of the 5th New York Regiment kept by John West, 1780.
