Records concern assessment and apportionment of compensatory damages for property taken by New York City to widen, extend and open streets, and to build armories, baths, bridges, firehouses, markets, parks, police stations, school sites, and sewers. Includes petitions and orders appointing the commissioners, testimony, objections to the objections to the commissioners' findings, terms of the final decrees, maps of damaged and benefited property, and supplementary reports. Also, commissioners reports and final decrees, including reports, orders confirming reports, and provisions of the final decree; and damage map with location, name of occupant or owner, and sum of money.
