Several volumes of clippings, kept by C.K.G. Billings, concerning trotters he owned, horse races, and the trolley line he built to his race track outside Memphis, Tenn., 1905-1911; many of the trolley clippings concern accidents and race relations. Series of volumes containing clippings, programs, photographs, articles and verses by George M. Gahagan, editor of HOOF BEATS, 1912-1952, concerning horses and horse racing. Fourteen volumes of clippings on the Hambletonian race, 1934-1949. Twelve volumes of clippings, photographs, and articles compiled by Frank Gary, Jr., on Grand Circuit Racing, 1900-1930s. Several volumes of clippings on the career of Thomas W. Murphy, trainer and driver, 1907-1926. Other volumes of clippings and memorabilia concerning the family and stables of J.A. Murphy; the Orange County Fair, 1856-1889; the racing career of the horse Lou Dillon, first to break the two minute mile; events in Goshen, N.Y. in the 1950s; and events at the Trotting Horse Museum. Also includes the stud book of the stallion Sweepstakes which was later used as a scrapbook.
