Maine field photographs, 1919-1920.

Views of Lafayette National Park at Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island in Maine shortly after its creation in February 1919. This was the first national park established east of the Mississippi. The backs of those prints stamped Champlain Photographic Studio also bear the name M.C. Dickerson (then editor of NATURAL HISTORY). Photographs were probably taken by Dorr and by A.S. Dockham.
