Hall of the Biology of Invertebrates exhibition photographs, 1942-1973.

Photographs recording proposal and preparation of a wide range of mounted exhibits to be displayed in the Hall, including models, facsimiles (the Man-O-War Whirl has since been removed from display), and many information panels. Some models were constructed by Charles B. Tornell and Herman O. Mueller, the mural by Charles Alston. Documents the addition of two sections in the Hall entitled 'Giant Invertebrates" and "Invertebrates and their Environment" which opened in 1972. Photographs also show fire damage in the Hall, 1975. Photographs were taken by James Coxe, Alex J. Rota, Leon Boltin, Robert Elwood Logan, Edward Van Altena, and Charles H. Coles. Photographs are identified.
