Two letterpress copybooks primarily concerning business matters of Adriance, Platt & Co., manufacturer of agricultural machinery, such as personnel, financial transactions, and foreign markets and competitors, 1891-1903, with some personal matters such as his family's health, the decoration of their home, items ordered, stamp collecting, and social organizations. A scrapbook of clippings on polo matches, obituaries, programs, and the wedding notice of Adriance and Mary Hasbrouck, 1882-1886. Three letterpress copybooks of business correspondence of Adriance, Platt & Co., sometimes signed by John E. Adriance or Albert Glass, 1894-1910, concerning prices, orders, affairs of their foreign offices in Germany, England, Russia, and France, personnel, labor practices, union agitation, machine design, expansion into other products, and proposed insurance and corporation taxes.
