Fay Welch papers, 1933-1948.

Fay Welch was a naturalist, Adirondack guide, forestry college professor, conservationist, and camp director. These papers include an illustrated journal prepared by Welch for Harry Wade Hicks (a fellow Adirondack enthusiast and outdoorsman). The journal details five winter trips Welch made ascending Mount Marcy on skis between 1933 and 1948. The journal consists of twenty-one typed pages illustrated with snapshots. The records also include correspondence between Welch and Hicks.
