Catalogs of reptile and amphibian specimens originally housed in other institutions and later given to the Dept. of Herpetology at the American Museum of Natural History. Catalogs are from the Museum of the Brooklyn Institute, 1902-1919; Rutgers University, 1947-1971; Toledo Zoological Society, 1930-1940; and Newark Museum, 1936-1964. Information for each specimen may include the specimen number, genus and species name, common name, name of collector, locality, date collected, date of death and preservation, remarks.
