Correspondence with other paleontologists concerning research on oreodonts and other subjects including field work, and exchanging publications and information about specimens. Falkenbach's personal expense accounts and those of a field worker, and permits to explore. Correspondents include other Frick field workers such as Theodore Galusha, as well as C. Bertrand Schultz and George Sternberg, 1926-1962. In addition, Falkenbach's field diaries for trips to the American West listing specimens he collected, field notes, and sketches of collecting localities, 1924-1957.

Born at Hartwick Seminary, Otsego County, New York, on June 8, 1838, George Miller Sternberg received a medical degree from the Maryland College of Physicians in 1860.
