Plans, diagrams, maps, correspondence and some completed chapters for unpublished reports dealing with the geology and topography of Mongolia. Papers pertaining to geology prepared by Charles P. Berkey, F.K. Morris, L.E. Spock, and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, consist of descriptive accounts of surveys, lists of fossils collected, route studies and traverses of 1928 and 1930, locality studies, and manuscripts of chapters to be included in volume. Papers dealing with topography prepared by Charles P. Berkey, Leslie E. Spock, L.B. Roberts, W.P.T. Hill, Willard Wyman, and C.R. Canfield for a volume planned as a map volume with chapters about mapping problems of the Central Asiatic Expedition, history of cartography of Central Asia including Russian cartography and the Briesemeister map of Mongolia. Manuscript for some chapters, record of flora of Mongolia, faunal lists for Mongolian and Chinese fossil vertebrates, and reviews of the literature. In addition, photographic prints from Frederick K. Morris' negative albums, 1923-1925.
