Personal papers of the Beach family include receipts, notes, letters, legal papers, account books, and estate papers of Charles A. Beach, 1858-1925, pertaining to his education, property and financial matters, and health concerns; letters to Dr. George L. Beach to his son Charles A. Beach, 1881-1896, concerning his sister Leila's studies and later support of her parents; Leila's letters to Charles concerning teaching duties, housing arrangements with her mother, and economic difficulties of Albert H. Beach, 1895-1898; and letters from Albert H. Beach requesting financial assistance, 1897-1899. Business records of the Beach family include correspondence, financial statements, bankbooks, account books, reports, proposals, brochures, legal papers, mortgages, and bonds, 1842-1910, pertaining to the C.A. Beach & Company, a stagecoach company, the Canajoharie & Catskill Railroad Company, the Cairo Railroad Company, the Irving House in Catskill, Catskill Mountain Railway Company, Catskill and Tannersville Railway Company, and the Otis Elevating Railway Company.
