Woodstock artists oral interviews, 1968-1985.

Interviews conducted by Karl Fortess with fifty-two Woodstock artists, covering their background and training, identification with society, work patterns, artistic interests, teachers and/or influences, teaching experiences, and opinions of contemporary trends. Artists include Adolf Dehn, Alexander Brook, Dorothy Varian, Henry Mattson, William Pachner, and Sally Avery. Also, a radio interview, 1985, with fourteen Woodstock artists discussing painting under the auspices of the WPA in the 1930s.
