Letters of various physicians primarily to colleagues, patients, and others, concerning medical matters including descriptions of cases; professional matters such as a letter of introduction by Sir Benjamin Brodie, 1851, and a letter, 1780, by James Gregory criticizing the buying procedures of the medical branch of Edinburgh University; and general and personal matters.
