Genealogies in typescript form done by numerous genealogists from approximately the turn of the century to the 1960s. Some genealogies contain copies of 18th - 20th century letters, wills, deeds, clippings, photographs, and miscellaneous other family documents. Families are largely from New York State, although some from New England, elsewhere in the U.S., and Europe are also documented. Information collected dates from approximately 11th - 20th century. Among the many families represented are Alverson, Barnhart, Bennet, Bernard, Brodhead, Card, Clarkson, Cortelyou, Crooke, De Graw, Delafield, Dumont, Edwards, Finney, Fitch, Garrett, Griswold, Gorham, Gulick, Hegeman, Howell, Janson, Kilmer, King, McChesney, Minckeler, Misner, Norcross, Oakley, Ostrander, Petty, Raynor, Sicard, Stanton, Staubach-Arnold, Steele, Stimpson, Sturtevant, Taft, Ten Broeck, Throne, Thorpe, Truax, Van Antwerp, Vanderbilt, Vignier, Walton, and Wiggin.
