Baldwin family papers, 1807-1856.

Papers of the Baldwin family of Massachusetts consist of an account book, 1827-1832, of Luke Baldwin, Jr.'s shipping business; an account book, 1838-1839, of the Enameled Cloth Factory in Lynn, Mass. together in one volume with a farm journal, 1849-1850, of Samuel P. Baldwin of Grafton, Mass.; a farm journal, 1850-1851, that appears to have belonged to Samuel P. Baldwin of Grafton, Mass.; a journal, 1855-1856, of Luke Baldwin of Brookline, Mass. containing notes on the weather and general matters; a book containing copies of Luke Baldwin's correspondence, 1834-1835; Thomas Cushing Baldwin's daybook, 1843; a bankbook, 1807-1808, containing records of foreign money held by the Massachusetts Bank in account with Baldwin and Bass (including some checks and withdrawal tickets); and a small amount of miscellaneous correspondence, 1855-1857, including one letter in which Samuel P. Baldwin, writing from Boston, 1857, promises to send his father some lozenges and asks about his cold.
