Scrapbooks containing primarily news clippings documenting the history and events of the Academy, especially various conferences and other meetings sponsored by the Academy, and reports of scientific research. Also, information about the Academy's publications, programs of events, photographs, press releases, invitations pertaining to the Academy's affiliation with the New York City public schools, and texts of some addresses. Other material not in scrapbooks includes press releases and correspondence concerning activities of the Academy, summaries of major scientific discoveries of some of its members, news clippings about a proposed science center, minutes of the Public Relations Committee, correspondence pertaining to the public relations work of the Academy, and material regarding the Academy's Scientist-in-Residence program.
