Lady Board of Managers records, 1872-1969.

Collection contains minutes of the Bellevue Nursing Committee which contains information about the selection of students, minutes and reports to the Board of Managers, and reports of the Ladies Visiting Committee. Also, yearbooks, class pictures, diplomas, financial records, class registry for students, staff biographies, floor plans, diaries, student notebooks, news clippings, and letters to various mayors of New York City, as well as postcards showing views inside and outside the hospital. In addition, photographs depict ward scenes, nurses being trained, the operating amphitheater, patients, nurses treating patients, interior and exterior of the nursing school, annual circus day, Christmas activities, and graduation addresses given by doctors. A limited amount of material represents the Mills School for Male Nurses and includes school catalogs, some correspondence between Ogden Mills, the founder of the school, and mayors, as well as registration books of students, 1889-1969.
