Papers consist primarily of clippings; also correspondence, printed material, reports, and miscellaneous documents relating to the corruption, 1940s-1950s, on the New York and New Jersey waterfronts; the investigations of the New York State Crime Commission and the Bi-State Waterfront Commission; elections and strikes of the International Longshoremen's Association and the International Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union; the International Longshoremen's Association - American Federation of Labor reorganization; Father Corridan's inviolvement in the anti-corruption activity; and other matters relating to the issue. Father Corridan's correspondence, 1950s, and clippings of his obituaries, 1984, are also included.
