Records, 1965-1966.

Records consist primarily of correspondence and cables, 1965-1966, between Chief Officer Bruce F. Macdonald, United Nations Headquarters in New York, the United Nations Liaison Office in New Delhi, the Indian and Pakistani delegations, the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP), the Indian and Pakistani armies, and others concerning military and political matters in the area. Of note are Macdonald's letters reporting on the situation to Ralph J. Bunche, Under-Secretary for Special Political Affairs at United Nations Headquarters. Also included are reports, 1965-1966, including daily incident and weekly situation reports, summaries and statistics of complaints and investigations, and the Secretary-General's reports on the cease-fire and troop withdrawals. Correspondence, memoranda, accounts, reports, contracts, and agreements concerning personnel matters, accommodations, procurement of equipment and supplies, and other matters relating to the logistics of running UNIPOM are included.
