Also included are case files, 1946-1983, of the Administrative Tribunal; deeds of assignment of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration claims, 1949; correspondence stating the credentials of delegates to the United Nations Preparatory Commission and the first and second General Assembly sessions, 1945-1947, the first through fifth Economic and Social Council sessions, ca. 1946-1948, the United Nations Conference on Science and Technology for Development in Vienna, 1979, and the Havana Conference on Trade and Employment, 1947-1948; and ca. 3.5 linear ft. of correspondence, working papers, case files, and legal and other documents of the International Court of Justice, 1946-1975, including a copy of the advisory opinion of the court relating to the Western Sahara, October, 16, 1975. Also included are miscellaneous correspondence, memos, working papers, personnel files, case files, agreements, judgments, claims, reports, contracts, and leases.

In 1945, four individuals who had worked on the Manhattan project-John L. Balderston, Jr., Dieter M. Gruen, W.J. McLean, and David B. Wehmeyer-formed a committee and wrote a letter to 154 public figures asking for their opinions about the possibility of the creation of a world government.
