Russell Mack Little Carson papers, 1918-1953.

These papers consist mostly of correspondence and research material collected by Carson for his book, "Peaks and People of the Adirondacks." Correspondents include Alfred L. Donaldson, R. S. Hosmer, T. F. Luther, George Mead, Lithgow Osborne, Samuel N. Spring, and Gurth Whipple. Included are survey and topographical maps of the Adirondack region, historical research notes, publications, newspaper clippings, and photographs taken by Edmund Phelps, an Adirondack guide, at various locations in the Adirondack Mountains.
