Cook family papers, 1791-1934.

Papers of members of the Cook family of Bridgehampton, Suffolk County, consist of business and personal correspondence, deeds, accounts, bills, receipts and other financial records, and other papers. Included are papers relating to Addison M. Cook's surveying business in Suffolk County, 1870-1920; minutes of the Shell Fish Commission for Suffolk County, of which he was secretary, 1886-1899; papers relating to his participation in the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of Bridgehampton, ca. 1909; and financial documents including land deeds, 1791-1819. Also accounts, receipts, and deeds of Alanson M. Cook, father of Addison M. Cook, 1791-1869; and letters sent to Addison M. Cook's wife, Anna Rose Cook, both before and after their marriage, by relatives and friends, relating chiefly to personal matters, 1867-1931. Several other Cook family members are represented by small series of papers, 1828-1934.
