Letters and miscellaneous papers, [ca. 1820-1869]

Papers consist primarily of Teresa Guiccioli's letters to Byron on various topics including some concerning the incident known as the "Pisan Affray," 1822. Guiciioli's letters to Mary Shelley, Pietro Gamba, Charles Barry, Henry Kane, and others are also included. Also, Guiccioli's notations, marginalia, and underlinings in books of Lord Byron's works; autobiographical writings containing descriptions of Byron; and notebooks containing descriptions of a visit to London, 1835, and notes on reading and miscellaneous notes, 1834-ca.1860's.
