Correspondence, primarily letters received, with other artists, publishers, and friends, including Powhatan Clarke, Leonard Wood, Theodore Roosevelt, Nelson Miles, and Childe Hassam, and Remington's letters to his wife Eva, 1867-1909; notebooks recording places visited, sights seen, and colors, some from the Spanish-American War, 1881-1898; diaries, 1907-1909, discussing his camp on the St. Lawrence River, progress of his art works and bronzes, and the construction of a new house at Richfield, Conn.; sketchbooks, some of which also contain notes; autograph and address books; ledgers, some concerning the sale of bronzes and drawings; contracts and other legal papers; and numerous photographs of himself, family, friends, property, Indians, the American West, horses, his studio, his paintings, and places where he traveled including Montreal, Germany, and Arabia, 1872-1907.
