Kent Parsons Dumont (1941-) was a mycologist, specializing in the Sclerotiniaceae and Leotiaceae. He collected in Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Panama, Venezuela, Brazil and the Philippines. He was Associate Curator of Fungi (1960-1977) and Curator of Fungi (1978-1982) at the New York Botanical Garden. He was also Assistant Professor of Botany at Lehman College, CUNY (1977-1978).
