Primarily publications of BIAS. Most material relates to the Brooklyn Museum and to BIAS as the umbrella institution for the other branches. Included are the bulletins of BIAS, 1913-1952; publications of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, 1903-1909; yearbooks of BIAS, 1889-1917 (not inclusive); BROOKLYN MUSEUM QUARTERLY, 1914-1960 (not inclusive); and the BROOKLYN MUSEUM SCIENCE BULLETIN, 1901-1930. Other Brooklyn Museum records include some exhibition catalogs, pamphlets about the museum, programs for special events and educational programs, and some annual reports. For the Brooklyn Children's Museum there is a published catalog about its collections. Brooklyn Academy of Music material includes programs, 1939-1976 (not inclusive); manual of events, 1942-1952; program of events, 1956-1960; JUST AT THE ACADEMY BULLETIN, 1939-1942; monthly guides, 1959-1967; and monthly reviews, 1953-1959. Other material from the Institute includes approximately 700 bills, 1902-1904 and 1910-1918, a few vouchers, 1914-1918, and approximately 70 letters, 1899-1900, many of which concern the superintendant of museum buildings.
