Activities include three campaigns to obtain the free use of public school facilities for local groups including the Boy Scouts, 1939, 1952-1958, and 1969; a fight against the construction of an incinerator, 1954-1956; plans for the development of Jamaica Bay and Floyd Bennet Field, 1968-1970; and dedication ceremonies for Charles W. Boyce Square and Vincent J. Hickman Park.
