Long Island collection, [ca. 1875-1930].

The Long Island Collection consists of photographs and negatives of locations on Long Island. These include negatives and some prints of Samuel Gottscho, and of houses and their exteriors and interiors, 1900-1930. Also mounted photos of locations on Long Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Staten Island, Rhode Island, and New York City including a wide variety of scenes of houses, farms, churches, beaches, and landscapes. Other photos in the collection were taken by members of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle staff, G. Brainard, and others.
