New York World's Fair collection, 1937-1967.

Material primarily from the 1939 New York World's Fair and a small amount from the 1964 World's Fair. Material from the 1939 Fair encompasses promotional literature distributed by many of the pavilions, both international and local; mimeographed handouts from the World's Fair Department of Public Education; the WORLD'S FAIR NEWS, a publication series about the development and construction of the fair; official guidebooks; memorabilia; posters advertising the fair; news releases; and books about various aspects of the fair. Literature about the 1964 Fair includes invitational programs to its opening; a magazine; guidebooks; bulletins; and other official literature distributed by the World's Fair Committee including published progress reports of plans; and a description of plans for the opening of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, 1967.
