Documentary material includes manuscript autobiography of Major General Charles Justin Bailey, U.S. Army, who led the 81st (Wildcat) Division in World War I; list of Civil War draftees from Town of Ripley; World War I letters of Selden Bemus; photographs of the Fenton Guards, New York National Guard; correspondence and clippings on disposition of the national records of the G.A.R. in 1956 (last headquarters was in Jamestown); clippings, photos, and a typescript about ice cutting on Chautauqua Lake.
