Letters received by John H. Vincent, George E. Vincent, Kate Kimball, and W.A. Duncan comprise the major portion of the collection and concern events and speakers for Chautauqua sessions, business affairs of the Institution, summer schools, and independent Chautauquas. There are also three letterpress copy books of business letters sent by Wilson M. Day, Chairman of the Executive Board, 1899-1900; R.J. Holmes, registrar, 1887; and John H. and George E. Vincent, 1888-93.
