Josiah Little papers, 1788-1858.

Business letters and deeds; account books as agent for Pejepscot (sic) lands in Maine, 1805, and for rebuilding stores, probably Newburyport, Massachusetts, 1812; estate inventories and other papers of Col. Josiah Little, 1830-31, and Moses L. Atkinson, 1852; papers relating to mills in Lewiston, Maine. Other items are college essays of Josiah Little, Jr.; his correspondence with J.H. Johnson about Pennsylvania lands, 1847-51; list of depositors, Institution for Savings, Newburyport, c.1858; accounts for building and repairing meeting house of Second Religious Society of Newbury, 1830, 1841. There is also a petition of former proprietors of Bakerstown, Massachusetts, later Poland, New Hampshire, for compensation from Massachusetts, 1788, and commissioners' report, 1798, on land grant, including list of settlers' improvements in forfeited town.
