Luke Lin family papers, 1965-2004.

Diaries, letters, and photographs that span the years the family has resided in the United States. Mr. Lin has maintained a daily record of the 'everyday' thoughts, challenges, sorrows, and events that he has experienced during his forty years residing in the United States. He has also retained much of the correspondence, in the form of letters, exchanged with his family and his wife's family during the period from the reopening of relations between China and the United States in 1972 to the present. The collection also contains photographs of his wife, son, and grandchildren; of particular interest are the photographs of Lin and his wife's first return trip to China in 1977.
