The Historic Cherry Hill Papers consist of 325 containers of manuscripts of the Van Rensselaer, Elmendorf, Rankin, and related families from the period 1749-1963. The collection includes documents of participants in such events as the French and Indian War, the American Revolution, the War of 1812, California Gold Rush, and World War I. The viewpoints and careers of doctors, lawyers, merchants, missionaries, polititions, scientists, and soldiers are represented.
