Letter-diary and diary kept by Seavey during his service with the Pacific Mail Steamship Company, detailing shipboard life and medical cases; diary of a trip from Liverpool, England to New Orleans (1876) and trip on the Norris from San Francisco to Mexico and return (1883); letter from Vandelia Hogan describing her sister's illness and death from breast cancer (1871); Seavey's "Medical record visiting list, or physician's diary" (1883-1884), listing visits, payments, and some diagnoses; record of examinations performed by the Board of U.S. Examining Surgeons, Bureau of Pensions at Port Townsend of which Seavy was a member (1898-1924), including extensive detail of examinations performed on veterans making application for various pension adjustments; and letter from Seavy to Seattle Post-Intelligencer concerning the derelict Japanese fishing vessel Rio Gil Mano (1927).
