"Sue Dear" was apparently put together on the basis of several individually published songs by Grey and Dudley. The vocal scores are composites of these songs with additional numbers in manuscript form. All published songs (with one exception) are copyrighted by Leo. Feist, Inc., New York, 1922. Included are "Love's Corporation," "Da-Da-Daddy, Dear," "Smile and Forget," "That Sampson and Delilah Melody," "My Little Full Blown Rose," "Pidgie Widgie," and "Lover's Lane With You." An additional dance number, "Slavonia," was composed by Johann Haus, published by M. Witmark, 1911. The vocal parts are similar to the scores in that they are composites of published songs and manuscripts. The orchestra parts are entirely in manuscript form. Chorus parts are reproductions of carefully copied music. Dialogue parts and promptbooks are typewritten. The original cast is listed in the preliminary pages of the promptbook.
