Letter, 1874 Jan. 8, Cobham, Surrey, to A. Sonnenschein, thanking him for the arithmetic books he sent and praising his efforts to introduce better teaching methods (on letterhead of the Education Dept., Whitehall). -- Letter, 1878 Jul. 31, Cobham, Surrey, to Jos. M. Houghton, advising him that he has sent him a book to be shipped to Mr. Edwin Reed of Beth, Maine, U.S.A. -- Letter and envelope, 1885 Nov. 9, Cobham, Surrey, to Zulema A. Ruble, Smith College, Northampton, Mass. In the letter Arnold declines to send any of his poems because he does not want to "send hurried and bad verses to represent me before a Society which I remember with so much interest and pleasure as Smith College." Ruble was Smith College Class of 1886.
