There are about 200 portraits, 1836; and a few papers of Robert Morris, Thomas McKean, and George Read, 1757-88.

Thomas McKean (March 19, 1734 – June 24, 1817) was an American lawyer, politician, and a Founding Father of the United States from New Castle, in New Castle County, Delaware and Philadelphia. George Windle Read (b. Nov. 19, 1860, Indianola, Ia.-d. Nov. 6, 1934) graduated from the U.S. military academy at West Point in 1883 where he received his commission as 2nd lieutenant in the 16th Infantry. He advanced to the rank of major general on Mar. 8, 1921 after having commanded the 2nd Army Corps from June 13, 1918, until demobilization on February 1, 1919.
